Kellam Tuba Player Chosen as Army All American

Kevin Mitchell, Floyd E. Kellam Senior has been named to the U.S. Army All American Marching Band. Here is a link to a video showing Kevin and the band as he is presented with the honor.

Welcome to the 2010-2011 Kellam Marching Knights! Over the next few months, you will embark on one of the greatest journeys of your high school career. Whether new to our program, or veteran, this year promises to bring forth a wealth of personal and musical growth as well as memories that will last a lifetime. The people you will meet within this organization will become some of the greatest friends you will ever know. You will grow to know these people as brothers and sisters. The people you share the field with will become a second family. The days will be long. The heat will be blistering. The final production will take audiences breath away, and leave you with a far deeper understanding of why we choose to do this activity than words alone could ever express. I am so excited to begin the season, as I hope you are! Once again, please allow me to welcome you to the family!!!
