Pictures of the VBODA State Marching Festival have been uploaded and are available for viewing at this link. The results are located on the VBODA Website (here). The VBODA gives 5 possible ratings to the bands that perform: I (Superior); II (Excellent); III (Good); IV (Fair); or V (Poor). We received 2 Superiors and 3 Excellents. The highest and the lowest scores are removed leaving us with 1 Superior and 2 Excellents, for a final rating of II - Excellent! Congratuations to the Kellam Marching Knights for rising to the occasion and bringing home such a great rating! Here are some shots from the festival:
The following Friday was Senior Night at Kellam and the band parents really put a great effort into making sure the Seniors knew how much we will miss them. We started off the afternoon with a potluck Chili and Soup feast, then moved on to introductions and speeches by the Seniors. Then it was time for the pre-game music and then the halftime show, immediately followed by the announcement of the Seniors and their parents. The band spent the third quarter of the game behind the endzone enjoying some comradaie and cookies! Here are some photos from the night.
